Welcome to this month’s Magical Blogorail Red loop. Today we are discussing the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration.
2015 is almost half over but the good news is that the 60th Anniversary of Disneyland is just around the corner on July 17, 2015. I have been waiting to see the new merchandise since last year at Disneyland 59th Anniversary when they revealed the logo and the theme for this year’s celebration.
Diamonds, Diamonds, Diamonds
There are diamonds everywhere at the Disneyland Resort and there is a ton of merchandise. There are the usual things that you would expect like new ear hats, mugs, pens, shirts, plush frames, stationery, keychains, magnets and jewelry.
But as usual Disney has taken it a step further and is offering a large amount of collectables such as crystal do-dads to put on your desk, christmas ornaments, lanyards, purses (including Dooney and Bourke), CD’s, updated autograph books, dishes (yes, dishes), antenna toppers, phone cases, candy, playing cards, train sets, a Barbie and a Duffy with new Disneyland outfits.
The list goes on and on. Let’s take a closer look at some of the merchandise and believe it or not, this isn’t even all of the merchandise that is available.
Totes, Purses, Wallets
People go crazy over the Dooney and Bourke purses and Disney knows it so of course there is a super cute pattern for the 60th Anniversary. Learn more about this collection and one coming in July on the Disney Parks Blog.
I finally got my hands on an Alex and Ani bracelet this year and I love them so much! I can’t wait to get the new Disneyland Forever bracelet. Mine, mine, mine.
Pandora charms are also a hot ticket item. I haven’t started to collect these…yet. You can find more Pandora charms at the DisneyStore.com. These special Disneyland 60th charms are only available at the park.
Made with Magic
The Made with Magic merchandise is super fantastic because you can change the light patterns of them with the magic wand. Check out this video from the Disney Parks Blog about how to use the Sorcerer Mickey wand (and new paintbrush) to control the Made with Magic products.
Well, I think “Disney Diamonds” are awesome and I am so excited to see so many options. If you are on the East coast the good news is that some of the merchandise is available at select Walt Disney World Resort locations.
I am happy that there is a ton of merchandise because I worked at the Disney Store and often we would run out of merchandise. Disney sometimes can’t figure out what is going to be the ‘hot’ toy of the season. Don’t even get me started on the year we ran out of Talking Woody and Buzz Lightyear dolls. 😉
What merchandise do you have your eye on? Are you a pin collector, ear hat lover or do you like to collect mugs? What’s your Disney merchandise weakness? I am looking forward to grabbing everything I can afford with just the letter “D” on it since my name is Dawn.
Thank you to my Disney Store buddy Patrick Magsaysay for all of the fun photos, if it wasn’t for him this blog post would have never happened.
