Walt Disney World had the honor of hosting the “Frozen Summer Celebration” in the Summer of 2014 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Now the Disneyland Resort is finally feeling the Frozen love.
Starting January 7, 2015 the Disneyland Resort will be home to “Frozen Fun” but this awesome event will only be available for a limited time. All events will take place in Disney California Adventure in Hollywood Land.
For those of you who will be visiting the Disneyland Resort during the Christmas Holiday you can get a sneak peek of some of the “Frozen Fun” starting on December 20th.
“Frozen Fun” is going to be a wintry blast and I can’t wait to check it out. My 4-year old loves the movie Frozen and anything related to the movie. I know her head it going to explode when we visit “Frozen Fun” at the Disneyland Resort.
Here is what your family can experience at “Frozen Fun.”
You can meet the famous sisters of Arendelle at the “Anna and Elsa’s Royal Welcome.” They will be moving from Fantasyland in Disneyland over to the Disney Animation Building in Hollywood Land. Starting December 20th they will be located inside the Animation Courtyard surrounded by the sights and sounds of Frozen.
Their last Meet ‘N’ Greet in Fantasyland will be at the end of the day on December 19, 2014.
Currently, if you want to meet the famous sisters you will need to secure a Return Time Ticket. This process will still apply when they move to the Disney Animation Building. The Return Time Ticket is like a virtual standby line.
There is no physical stand by line.
These tickets are only available for a limited time each day so you will need to arrive at Disney California Adventure Park at opening to get the tickets for your entire group. You can also utilize Extra Magic Hour when it is available for Disney California Adventure Park so that you can grab a ticket before the park opens. Be sure to check with your Disneyland Resort Hotel for more details about Extra Magic Hour.
Just like with the Disney FastPass service you will need a valid admission ticket for each person in your group who wishes to get a Return Time Ticket. Only those with a Return Time Ticket will be able to enter “Anna & Elsa’s Royal Welcome.”
Who wants to draw a snowman? While at the Disney Animation Building you can attend Animation Academy and learn to draw Olaf.
During the “Freeze the Night! A Family Dance Party” your family will get to attend the coolest party in Hollywood. Here you will get to spend the evening in Hollywood Land for a family friendly dance party.
This family friendly dance party will feature dance lighting effects, fun games, Frozen-tastic photo opportunities, yummy snacks and warm drinks. There will also be fun interactive events and an ice sculptor.
Taking over Stage 17 in Hollywood Land is “Olaf’s Snow Fest.” This large area will be transformed into a castle courtyard similar to the one in Arendelle. At “Olaf’s Snow Fest” your family can play with real snow in a winter wonderland with a snow glide for the kids to slide down.
The Frolicking Fjords will provide festive music and a traveling duo known as the The Tubadors will tell the tale of Arendelle. Be sure to visit Olaf for a flurry of warm hugs and a photo opportunity.

There will even be a “Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post” where you can pick up all the Frozen inspired merchandise on your list.
The Muppet*Vision 3D Theater in Hollywood Land has been transformed into the Crown Jewel Theater. Here your family can enjoy “For the First Time in Forever – A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration”
The sing-along features Ardendelle historians who will retell the history of their kingdom as well as special appearances from Anna, Elsa and Kristoff. The Return Time Ticket will also be available for this event.
Here is a map of where all of the “Frozen Fun” events will be taking place.
