My husband and I are Aerosmith fans, we’ve been to many of their concerts over the years. When I realized that I would finally get the chance to ride “Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith” I was pretty excited.
Not only would I finally get to ride it but I would also have the opportunity to have my experience filmed by the Disney folks using a GoPro camera.
This filming opportunity was only available via a sign up process a few weeks prior to the conference. I had the opportunity to choose either Dumbo, Seven Dwarf’s Mine Train, Tower of Terror or Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.
The decision wasn’t hard for me to make and I signed up right away for a time slot. There were only two times to choose from, both of which were early in the morning before the park opened. My time slot was for 7:30 AM which meant an early wake up call for this Disney nerd.
As we arrived via bus through the back stage area of Disney’s Hollywood Studios I was so excited to finally get on that coaster.
We entered the attraction through the exit and the short wait began….I was one of the last to get to ride the coaster so I enjoyed being able to listen to the looping of the Aerosmith music while I eyed all of the merchandise that I would later come back to buy.
It was finally my turn and they loaded me into the second seat, the first seat had the GoPro camera installed on it. I was going to get to ride the entire attraction by myself.
Are you ready? Let’s ride!! Warning, there may be some really bad air guitar during my ride. 😉
I really loved riding Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster because it is has a great soundtrack and it is really fast AND it goes upside down.
About the Attraction
The attraction takes place indoors and it is a dark coaster, which I think makes it a lot of fun because you don’t know what is coming up next.
Your ride to the Aerosmith concert is a super-stretch limo that comes decked out with a 125-speaker, 24 sub-woofer, 32,000 watt audio system.
Each limo broadcasts different Aerosmith songs, so don’t be surprised if your experience is a little different if you go to the concert more than once.
Not all of the songs play during your ride, you can hear either “Walk This Way,” “Dude (Looks Like a Lady),” “Sweet Emotion,” or “Back in the Saddle.”
“Love in an Elevator” has been rewritten to “Love in a Roller Coaster” for this attraction.

Rock Around the Shop
I really loved the merchandise in the shop, they had Aerosmith artwork, drum sticks, t-shirts and just about everything in between.
Later in the day I returned to pick up some souvenirs for my family. I picked up a new Aerosmith shirt for my hubby, some guitar pics and guitar-shaped pens for my girls.
I could have bought a lot more but I was trying to stay on budget.
Have you been on Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster before? Did you love it?
