Papa Murpy’s Take N’ Bake Pan Pizza Review

Papa Murphys

This post is part of a sponsored campaign with Papa Murphy’s and MomSelect. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

My family loves pizza, if they could eat it every day they would. I am lucky that where I live we have a variety of pizza places we can go. However, the one draw back to most of these pizza places is sitting and waiting for the pizza to bake.

On my way home from work if I decide I want to pick up a pizza for dinner I need to go to the pizza place, order the pizza and then sit and wait for up to 30 minutes. This is the really hard part because the pizza place smells so good and I am usually starving, but I have to sit there and wait.

That is why I like Papa Murphy’s. I can run into a Papa Murphy’s on my way home from work, order my pizza and within minutes it is ready for me to take home. Once I get home I preheat the oven and then pop the pizza in. While the pizza is cooking I am able to multi-task and do a few things around the house and help my daughter with her homework. A Papa Murphy’s pizza takes about 18 minutes to bake.

I recently heard about the new Papa Murphy’s Fresh Pan Pizza featuring a thicker, buttery crust and I knew my family would love it. In addition to the pizza I decided to pick up a club salad and a Cinnamon wheel. The pan pizza only comes in the large size and costs $9.00 for 1 topping. I had a coupon for $2.00 off a pan pizza (get yours here) and so all of this cost me $21.00. This spread feed a family of four and we have leftovers for lunch.

The pan pizza comes in a deep dish pan with butter on the bottom of the crust, just be sure to keep the pizza flat on the way home. I ordered a pizza with pepperoni, salami and chicken.

Papa Murphy’s pizza’s bake at 425 degrees for about 18 minutes but some ovens may vary.

Wow, just look at how golden that crust looks. The pan the pizza bakes in held up well in the oven. I’ve had some issues in the past with the paper tray on the original crust pizza, but that is probably just my oven being weird.

Once we cut into the pizza you could hear the crunch of the crust, it was baked perfectly. It is nice to be able to pull out the fresh pizza from the oven and serve it to my family.

The crust on the pan pizza is really thick and has a nice crunch to it. The dough throughout the pizza is also thick yet light and fluffy. I have always liked the sauce on the Papa Murphy’s pizzas as well.

There was a good amount of cheese on the pizza as well, they certainly don’t skimp on their toppings. I always feel that I am getting a good value.

We also picked up a club salad, I’d like it if these salads were just a bit bigger but it was still good. I like the idea of being able to pick up pizza, salad and dessert for a about $20.
