I was invited along with 24 bloggers to attend the World Premiere of Disney’s Moana, walk the Blue Carpet and attend the Premiere Party.
I have attended two other premieres for “Muppets Most Wanted” and “Big Hero 6.” What I love about these events is that no two red carpet premieres are the same. The Polynesian spirit was certainly present at the Moana World Premiere.
The cast of the movie arrived and the carpet was whipped into a frenzy! It is so much fun to be on the carpet when this happens because the thrill of seeing the stars of the movie is exhilarating. Now that I look at this picture again, I see the Kakamora hanging from the roof, cute!
After the Blue Carpet arrivals we were ushered into the Premiere Party. There I was able to enjoy food and drinks, crafts, dancing and fun Moana Tattoos. When you are in the Premiere Party you never know who you are going to run into. I was actually standing in a small circle of people, texting my husband and I looked up – there was Bob Iger just standing there in that circle. For REAL!!!
After I got some food, somehow I got separated from my blogger friends. It’s really crowded and loud so this is totally possible. There were tall tables to stand at and eat so I just walked up to a table and started eating with some other guests. I started chatting with them and found that I was at a table with a talent agency that booked Dwayne Johnson as the voice of Maui, a dress designer and a two people who worked on the movie in a Lead role. I can’t remember exactly what they did, but they must have been important to be at the party.
Before the movie started we were treated to a live performance by Olivia Foa’i, Opetaia Foa’i and the band Te Vaka.

Maui, voiced by Dwayne Johnson, is a demigod—half god, half mortal, all awesome. Charismatic and funny, he wields a magical fishhook that allows him to shapeshift into all kinds of animals and pull up islands from the sea.
During her journey, Moana (voice of Auli’i Cravalho) meets the once-mighty demigod Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson), who guides her in her quest to become a master wayfinder.
Together, they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds, and along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she’s always sought: her own identity.
MOANA arrives on shore everywhere November 23rd!
