I know I am weird, but did you know I am weird? I’ve always wanted to visit Phoenix….maybe not in the month of June BUT I’ve always wanted to visit Phoenix. Hubby chuckled when he checked the weather and saw that it was 109 degrees there the other day. I hear it is a fun place to check out and now I get the chance to do it. Even though it’s only for a day but now I can say I’ve been there.
The Disney Social Media Moms Celebration takes place in the spring time at either Disneyland or Walt Disney World each year but did you know there are smaller events held around the country during the summer. These events are called Disney Social Media Moms Celebration – On the Road. Last year I was honored to have been invited to the event in Berkeley, CA which is only two hours away from where I live so it was a no brainer to attend.
You can read more about that event here. It was an event that kicked off a huge leap in my personal and professional life – and started the bonds of friendship with some awesome ladies.
Phoenix, AZ = HOT
This year the events are being held in Chicago, Philadelphia and Phoenix.
I will be putting on my big girl panties and fly on a plane by myself and rent a car while in Phoenix. I don’t know why but I get a little bit nervous when I have to do these things by myself. I normally have my hubby there to help me out if I get lost….which happens often.
Luckily in Phoenix I will have a network of friends that I am meeting up with so I can hang with them so I won’t really be ‘alone’ in that sense.
I am super excited to go because of course being near anything Disney related gets my heart beating faster but I will also be able to meet in person many bloggers that I connect with on Facebook and Twitter.
The “On the Road” event is a 1/2 day event and the number of attendees is smaller than the annual event that occurs in the spring. I like this because there are less people to meet BUT that means I can connect with all of them or at least most of them.
Here is the list of speakers for Phoenix – I better do my home work and get some questions written down to ask these super ladies when I talk with them after the event because they are a wealth of information.
