I’m Going to Disney Social Media Moms 2014 #DisneySMMoms

I am honored that I was invited to attend the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration for 2014. In years past the event has been held in Walt Disney World, but this year it will be held at Disneyland and we are about 8 hours away from “The Happiest Place on Earth”. Needless to say that when I got the invite I didn’t hesitate submitting my registration because it was a no brainer.

DSMM 2014

Disney Social Media Moms Celebration, is an invitation only conference for social media minded moms and dads. At this conference our families are also invited to join the fun. While I am in the conference, my husband and the girls get to play at Disneyland and hang out at the Disneyland Hotel. My girls love the Monorail theme water slides at the Disneyland Hotel. This is a fantastic opportunity for me to mix business and a family vacation together in the “Happiest Place on Earth” – Disneyland. The conference is April 10-13th and I can’t wait to meet up with many of the fabulous bloggers I have connected with online this past year.

In February I wrote an article about Disney Social Media Moms and you can read it here “#DisneySMMoms Celebration Hits Disneyland” In the article I explain what makes this “conference” so special. Actually, it’s not a “conference” at all because it is a celebration of mom and dad bloggers.

Schedule of Events

While the full schedule of events has not yet been released there is a loose schedule that we have been given.

  • Thursday - Arrival day and then in the evening attend a reception and then dinner at the Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree in Disneyland Park.
  • Friday - General Session for all attendees but our families get to play at Disneyland, Disney’s California Adventure or at the hotel pool.  Later in the evening we get to have fun as a family….riding Big Thunder I hope. ;)
  • Saturday – Fun Run and then a family Breakfast and activities at the Disneyland Hotel.  The afternoon is free time with our family and then we meet for dinner in Disneyland.
  • Sunday – Family Breakfast in Disney’s California Adventure and then depart the event.

Fun Run

I also just received confirmation that I will be running in the Fun Run on Saturday and I am so excited because this will be my first runDisney event.  The Fun Run is a 2 mile runDisney event for the attendees only and I can’t wait to participate in it…..even though it will be really early.

Events at Disneyland

I’ve been doing some research and found that while we are at Disneyland next week the following will also be happening.  The Eggs-istencial Event is a special event where kiddos can search for special hidden “eggs” themed to Disney characters at Disney’s California Adventure.  Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree in Frontierland will be decked out in flowers and other springtime décor for Springtime Roundup.  I LOVE bunny rabbits so this will be an awesome area for me to check out.  It is also the 50th Anniversary of “It’s a Small World” and I have found out that the attraction is currently closed for refurbishment but I have a feeling it might be re-open for a  while we are there.
