I have been helping out at 5 Minutes for Mom with their Disney content and I am thrilled to announce that I will be representing them at the Muppet Most Wanted red carpet premier next month. The trip that I am going on is with a group of 24 other bloggers from across the USA and is hosted by Disney and Marvel.
On this trip I get to attend the red carpet premier and interview Kermit, Miss Piggy and any other stars that are there. I am a child of the 80′s and I grew up watching Jim Henson’s Muppet Show. At a young age it was my escape, I loved watching their so very much and Pigs In Space is epic for me. Now I will need to find a dress worthy of the red carpet.
While I am in Los Angeles I will also get to attend the press event for Captain America: The Winter Soldier. I will get to interview cast and film makers during the press junket. They haven’t told us which cast members will be there but I am hoping for Chris Evans (hot hot hot) or Scarlett Johansson to show up. The movie doesn’t open until 4/4/14 and I will get to see the movie at a special screening too, so cool.
Then I will be going to visit the Bears exhibit at the LA Zoo after screening Disneynature’s BEARS on the Walt Disney Studios lot! I had to take a deep breath when I read that part, yes on THE Walt Disney Studios lot. I saw a preview of BEARS a few weeks ago when I took my girls to see the FROZEN sing-along and it looks like it is going to one of those ‘ahhh, so cute’ type of movies. I know that I will probably cry during parts of the movie because it is about a mama bear and her cubs and my cubs will be at home and by this point I ‘might’….and I said ‘might’ be missing them a little bit.
Did you know that there is a new Disney Faries movie coming out on DVD? My girls really like the Disney Fairies movies especially Secret of the Wings because it is about sisters. Now The Pirate Fairy is coming to DVD on April 1st.
I saw a sneak peek of it during the D23Expo in August and it looks really spunky. Tinker bell and her fairy friends are in this movie but we are also introduced to new characters voiced by Tom Hiddleston as Captain James Hook (yes…that Captain Hook) and Christina Hendricks as Zarina, The Pirate Fairy. Some of our favorite actresses reprise their voice acting with Lucy Liu as Silvermist, Mae Whitman as Tinker bell, Lucy Hale as Periwinkle and Debby Ryan as Spike.
All of that sounds awesome, right. Well hold on to your hats and glasses folks because there is more!!
ABC TV has invited us to stay a little bit longer in Los Angeles for some extra special love from some of their shows.
I will be visiting the Los Angeles studio where GREY’S ANATOMY and GENERAL HOSPITAL both tape. I will have the chance to meet & greet with select cast members, get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of production, and more!
Growing up as a child of the 80′s I watched General Hospital with my Nona after school….everyday. I was one of those 30 Million viewers who watched Luke and Laura get married in 1981. My Nona will be with me in spirit as I tour Port Charles.
Jessica Capshaw (“Dr. Arizona Robbins”) will be the host when I take of tour of the GREY’S set.
Following the set visits I will be attending a cocktail hour with the Moms of ABC – both real-life and TV moms. This one has got my mind racing, I wonder who will be there? Who do you think will be there? Could I meet some Modern Family moms? Maybe Patrica Heaton from The Middle. She is great, I saw her when my husband and I went to a taping of Everybody Loves Raymond. You will have to follow along with me to find out who shows up at the cocktail party.
I have been watching Trophy Wife since it started this season and I think it is a smart and funny show, great combo for a comedy. Kate is a reformed party girl and finds romance with Pete who has 3 children and two crazy ex-wives. The show stars Malin Akerman, Bradley Whitford, and Marcia Gay Harden. Also in the show is Bailee Madison. The pilot episode didn’t originally feature Bailee but I am glad they made that change and added her to the show. If you are a Once Upon a Time fan you will know her as a young Snow White.
On the last day of the trip I will get to visit the set of THE MIDDLE. I will attend a Q&A with the creators and executive producers, Eileen Heisler and DeAnn Heline, as well as screen an upcoming episode and also attend a meet & greet with available cast members.
Just before my plane takes off for home I will get to screen an upcoming special “junior” episode of SHARK TANK, featuring kid entrepreneurs pitching their ideas to the Sharks. I think this is a super idea because kids are very creative and smart.
