10th Anniversary (1965)

The Wonderful World of Disney

This video is a must see for any Disney Nerd because it is a treasure trove filled with legendary Imagineers such as Marc Davis, Mary Blair, Rolly Crump, Blaine Gibson, Claude Coats. When I watched it my eyes were wide and my jaw was dropped open because of all the talent in that room.

Walt takes Julie, a Disneyland guide on a tour of Imagineering. During the tour he speaks with Mary Blair about “it’s a small world,” Marc Davis about the hall of illusions and Rolly Crump about the museum of the weird. Both of these later became “The Haunted Mansion” and didn’t open until 4 years later.

Walt also take Julie on a tour of the New Orleans Square and talks to her about a new ride called the blue bayou lagoon which later became “Pirates of the Caribbean.”

25th Anniversary (1980)

30th Anniversary (1985)
