This post is about the Disney Social Media Moms Conference 2014 at the Disneyland Resort
We drove from Northern California to Anaheim and after several potty trips and braving the LA traffic we made it!!
Seeing Goofy in the Disneyland Hotel lobby was so awesome because the Disney magic was RIGHT THERE!! We didn’t have to go in to the park to get a quick Disney fix.
As you can see by the smiles on my girls faces they were pretty darn happy to see Goofy.
We arrived to the hotel at about 3:00 and went directly to the registration area. As I walked in the room I was immediately greeted by my blogger friends. We received our credentials and information about the events that were planned for us. There were many vendors in the registration area as well and it was nice to be able to talk to them one on one.
Once inside the registration area we were treated to a no line wait to see Minnie Mouse.
What an awesome experience this was for my eight year old who refused to take pictures with characters during our last trip to Disneyland just a few months before. Once she saw Goofy, Minnie and Mickey she sure changed her mind….as you can see.
This is my absolute favorite picture of the whole event because to get a hug like this from Mickey is a dream come true for anyone, but it is the hug back from my daughter that makes my heart melt a little. She is not outgrowing her #DisneySide like I was afraid she was a few months ago; her #DisneySide is just growing up and changing.
When Mickey Mouse comes up to you and takes you by the hand for pictures it is certainly a time my girls will never forget. Abby (my youngest) was speechless when this happened to her.
The Welcome Reception was just for the attendees, our families were to either head over to Disneyland Big Thunder Ranch or wait for us. My family decided that wanted to get inside Disneyland asap so they took off for the promised land.
The Welcome Reception had some fabulous drinks and the cups even lit up. The event was sponsored by Coppertone. We were given bags of sunblock and had time to mix and mingle with our blogger friends before heading over to Disneyland.
Since my family was already inside the park, I hopped on the Monorail with some of my blogger friends. We were headed to the Big Thunder Ranch for a family dinner. We were derailed a tad by the parade but we soon made our way there.
The dinner was a lot of fun and there was great food, music and lots of characters.
My girl Abby loves Doc McStuffins and wanted to see her so bad. Apparently Doc has a hard head and knocked Abby on accident. She didn’t cry but said “wow, Doc’s head is hard, that was weird.”
I am in LOVE with our family picture 😉
My girls were excited to get fancy face paint at the family dinner.
Here is a fantastic collection of the professional pictures taken from registration day and the Welcome Reception.
I will be writing more blogs about my exciting time at the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration so check back often for new posts. Disclosure: I was invited to attend the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration in Disneyland. I paid my own conference fees and received gifts during the conference. All opinions, experiences and thoughts are my own.
