#DisneySMMoms Celebration Hits Disneyland in 2014

#DisneySMMomsThe Disney Social Media Moms Celebration is a blogging event like no other. It is an amazing opportunity for bloggers and their families to spend 3 days together. While the families play at the Disney resorts and parks, the bloggers are attending the celebration and soaking up all of information about social media, growing their brand and valuable business tips from the speakers.

The Disney Social Media Moms Celebration was first held in 2010 at Walt Disney World and has been held there for the past three years. Since then the celebration has become a hot ticket for bloggers. Unlike other blogging events you can’t just buy your ticket to attend, you need to be invited first. The powers that be only invite 200 bloggers to the event. It not only attracts Disney focused bloggers but other lifestyle mom and dad bloggers as well.  This diversity in bloggers at the celebration creates a nice mix of talent in the room.

In 2014 the celebration will be headed to the West Coast for the first time and will take place at the Disneyland Resort. The celebration is rumored be held April 10-13, 2014.

What makes this such a hot ticket?

As an attendee you get to be in the same room with other amazing bloggers who share the same passion that you do.   You not only get to learn about new entertainment coming from the Walt Disney Company for 2014 but you get to hear from speakers in other industries about how they have succeeded in their business as well as the Disney Parks publicity team. (<—- my dream job)

Some of the past speakers have included

  • Rene Syler of Good Enough Mother
  • Shannon Miller 1996 Olympics Gymnastics Team Member
  • Gary Buchanan Social Media Director at Disney Parks
  • Guy Kawasaki
  • Chris Brogan
  • Ridley Pearson
  • David Tutera

I wonder what the wonderful speaker lineup will include this year? Maybe there will even be members from the Disney Parks Mom’s Panel. It would be fantastic to meet them as well.

Last year there was a did a 2-mile fun run with runDisney, I am hoping they do that again since I am training for the Disneyland Half Marathon, it would be great to get a little glimpse running in a runDisney event.

Disney Social Media Moms Celebration On The Road

If you don’t get an invite this year to the main event there is still a way you can participate in the fun. Last year I was lucky enough to get an invite to the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration On The Road in Berkeley, CA. These are smaller 1/2 day conferences that take place across USA and are fantastic as well.

While they don’t take place at the Disney Parks you can still feel the Disney magic at the event. I had a great time making new friends, learning a ton business tips and feeling like I could do anything.
