My husband and I did something at Disneyland park that we have never done before! We went on a date and we had a fabulous time of course.
Spending time in Disneyland park at night is truly a magical experience because the park has a different vibe at night than it does during the day. My husband and I put on our fancy clothes and had dinner in the park, watched the fireworks and enjoyed our time together at the Happiest Place on Earth.
My suggestions for great places to have a dinner would be either at the Blue Bayou Restaurant located in Disneyland park in New Orleans Square or the Carthay Circle Restaurant in Disney California Adventure park on Buena Vista Street.
After dinner you could choose a traditional nighttime entertainment option such as World of Color, Fantasmic! or fireworks.
But did you know that you can also enjoy live music and dance the night away at the Disneyland Resort? At Disney California Adventure you can join in the fun at the Diamond Mad T Party or swing by Fantasyland in the Disneyland park and join the Royal Swing Big Band Ball, the swing dancing takes place on Saturday nights in the Fantasy Faire area.
Starting in 1957 there was an official event at Disneyland called “Date Nite at Disneyland.” It was a dance party took place at the Carnation Plaza Gardens and the music was provided by the Elliot Brothers Orchestra. Check out this fun video from 1962 that appeared on Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color that features Annette Funicello, Bobby Rydell and the Elliot Brothers Orchestra.
Did you know that once the park closes you have an hour to exit the park? That means that you can take some great photos of the park without crowds of people in your photos.
Even if you only spend a few hours at the Disneyland Resort you can create unforgettable memories.
