5 Reasons You’ll Fall in Love with the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe

There is a lot to love about the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited Ultimate, these are my top 5 features that I loved about this fun crossover SUV.

1. Multi-view Camera System

Hands down my favorite feature on the Hyundai Santa Fe is the Multi-view Camera System. It features four cameras that create 360-degree view around the vehicle as well as an aerial view displayed on the nav screen. I found this feature to be very useful when squeezing into a tight parking spot. The aerial view is insanely awesome, I loved being able to use this feature.

2. Blind Spot Detection with Rear Cross-traffic Alert and Lane Change Assist

Having the Blind Spot Detection available is very helpful because it provides an audible and visual alert when another car is in your blind spot. What I love even more is how large the side mirrors are on the Hyundai Santa Fe. I felt like I has a great view of the traffic situations behind me when needed. In addition to the Blind Spot feature, the Rear Cross-traffic Alert is helpful for when pulling out of parking spots. This feature helps to detect when another vehicle is coming from the side.

3. Panoramic Sunroof

The sunroof on the Hyundai Santa Fe is ridiculously large and I loved it. At times I almost felt like I was riding in a convertible! The views out of the sunroof are great too! I love letting nature in, especially that warm California Sunshine.

4. Apple CarPlay

Keep your eyes on the road even while using your phone with Apple CarPlay (Android Auto also available). Since I have an iPhone I was able to utilize Apple CarPlay and it was extremely easy to operate. Apple CarPlay connects and you can use it right away, no additional apps to download. Just plug in your phone and it’s active.

So many features you are familiar with using on your phone can be controlled from the Hyundai Santa Fe including Maps, Audiobooks, Music, Text Messages, Contacts and of course making phone calls.

I enjoy the way the large navigation screen is used to see the navigation and Apple CarPlay. Everything is in one place.

Even your music playlists are easily accessible when using Apple CarPlay.

5. Hands-free Smart Liftgate

The liftgate can be activate by just walking up behind the car with the key fob and like magic, the lift gate open. You don’t need to swipe your leg under the car to activate it or press a button on the key fob. It is really a great feature to have when your arms are full of groceries or packing the car for vacation.

I had a wonderful time driving around town in the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe. I always felt in control of the vehicle, it was very responsive and it felt sturdy. I can easily see the Hyundai Santa Fe as my next vehicle.

This is how I felt about having to give the car back to DriveShop.

I highly recommend this car if you are looking to take a step down from a minivan and don’t want a smaller crossover SUV.

  1. How fun! My husband loves his Hyundai Sonata. He has not had one mechanical problem since he bought it in 2008.

When I was a mom with younger children, the Santa Fe would have been first on my list to test drive. But since my children are grown, I no longer need the room.

My next vehicle, I’m heading to Hyundai. I’m eyeing the Ioniq.
